Navdeep Komal is a visual artist, illustrator, art instructor, and Certified Therapeutic Arts Practitioner with a professional background in computer animation. A graduate of Seneca’s Animation program, Navdeep has worked on popular children’s series including Fancy Nancy, Lucas the Spider, PAW Patrol, and Dylan’s Playtime Adventures. She also works as an independent children’s book illustrator, bringing her experience in character design, visual storytelling, and imaginative world-building into the classroom. Navdeep is passionate about helping young artists develop strong foundational skills while discovering their own creative voice.

At Best Art Co., she teaches Fundamentals of Drawing, Concept Art & World-Building, and Painting to students ages 8–12 and 13–17. Her classes balance skill-building with imagination, allowing students to explore drawing, painting, character development, storytelling, and creative problem-solving in a supportive, engaging environment.

As a Certified Therapeutic Arts Practitioner, Navdeep understands how powerful creativity can be for self-expression, confidence, connection, and emotional well-being. She creates a welcoming space where students of different abilities and learning styles can feel comfortable experimenting, asking questions, taking creative risks, and developing their skills at their own pace.

Above all, Navdeep wants her students to feel inspired, supported, and genuinely excited about making art.
