Come gather, create, and make a little space for yourself.

Art Journaling with Jenn is a relaxed gathering that brings writing, intuitive art making, and connection around one studio table. We begin with a little free writing and a prompt to help quiet the outside noise. Then we move into the making with exploring paint, collage, inks, drawing, words, and whatever else sparks our curiosity.

Each month we'll explore a new creative theme through writing, mixed media techniques and guided art journaling exercises. Our two monthly gatherings will approach the theme in different ways, so you can join us for one or come to both and explore it a little deeper.

There is no finished piece to produce and no right way for your pages to look. Your journal is a place to experiment, make a mess, express yourself, follow an idea, or try a technique that might one day find its way into a larger artwork. Jenn shares prompts, demonstrates techniques, and offers guidance, with plenty of room to make the work your own.

Art journaling has long been part of Jenn’s creative practice. It gives words and images room to work together when either one alone doesn’t quite say enough. The gathering matters just as much as the pages. Step away from the usual routine, sit with other creative people, and enjoy making something with your hands.

Come once or make it a regular creative pause. Whether you’re an experienced artist, returning to art after years away, or convinced you’re “not artistic,” you’re welcome here.

• Art-making supplies are provided. Your journal or paper is not included.

Bring an art journal you already love, or purchase an art journal, watercolour paper, or mixed media paper at our store. You can work on loose sheets and turn them into a journal later. Jenn will show you how.
