Cozy Knits: Woven Winter Beanie, Ages 10-12, Saturday November 21st
Explore colour, pattern, and texture through weaving! Students will discover how woven textiles are constructed as they create a winter beanie textile artwork using yarn, cardboard, and mixed fibres.
Working on a prepared cardboard loom, students will learn basic textile vocabulary and practise weaving techniques. They will experiment with yarn colours, simple patterns, and texture, making their own design choices along the way. Each student will leave with an individual woven winter beanie artwork that can be mounted and displayed as a finished art piece.
