Gamblin Cold Wax Medium is a paste medium made from refined beeswax and odourless mineral spirits. You can mix it directly into oil paint to create a wide range of effects, from matte, velvety surfaces to thick, sculptural impasto textures. It is one of the most versatile mediums for oil painters working in contemporary and encaustic-inspired styles.

Cold Wax Medium increases paint body and transparency, speeds drying time, and reduces gloss. Apply it in multiple layers and work it with palette knives, brushes, or mark-making tools for rich textural surfaces.
