Tri-Art Clear Gesso

Tri-Art Clear Gesso is a transparent acrylic ground that primes your surface without obscuring the natural texture or colour beneath. Made in Canada by Tri-Art Manufacturing in Kingston, Ontario, it provides excellent tooth and adhesion for paint application while allowing the wood grain, canvas weave, or paper texture to show through.

It is an ideal choice for artists who want to work on toned or natural surfaces, or who prefer to build their own coloured ground. Apply one or more coats to canvas, wood panel, or board, and paint once dry. Compatible with both acrylic and oil paints over a fully cured surface.
