Tri-Art Dry Media Ground

Tri-Art Dry Media Ground is a specially formulated acrylic ground that creates a textured, toothy surface for dry media such as graphite, charcoal, pastel, coloured pencil, and conte. Made in Canada by Tri-Art Manufacturing in Kingston, Ontario, it can be applied to canvas, wood panel, board, or paper to transform any surface into a stable support for drawing media.

Apply one or more coats to your chosen surface and allow to dry fully before working on top. The ground holds dry media firmly without smudging and can be worked into with layers, blending, and reworking just like a traditional pastel paper. Compatible with acrylic paint as well, making it a versatile ground for mixed media work.
