Come paint with Jenn on Tuesday afternoons!

This ongoing acrylic painting class is for anyone who wants to learn, build their skills, explore new techniques and spend a couple of hours creating in the studio. Whether you’re brand new to painting, returning to it after years away, or already have experience and want to continue developing your work, we’ll start wherever you are.

In our small group, I’ll work with you individually while also offering demonstrations, projects and exercises to help you understand the foundations of acrylic painting. We’ll explore colour mixing, value, composition, brushwork, layering, contrast and creating depth, but you’ll also have the freedom to work on subjects and projects that interest you.

And if you’re curious about mixed media, we can go there too. Mixed media is a big part of my own art practice, and I’ll introduce you to materials and techniques such as acrylic inks, collage, charcoal, mark-making, and texture. You can keep things purely acrylic or begin adding other materials and layers as your confidence and curiosity grow.

My goal isn’t for everyone in the room to create the same painting. It’s to help you learn the fundamentals, try new things, become more confident in your own creative decisions and begin discovering what you enjoy as an artist.

Come for a single class or join us regularly and make Tuesday afternoons your time to paint. You’ll get to know the other artists in the group, work on projects over several weeks if you choose, and become part of an ongoing creative studio community.

Enrollment Options

• Drop In: $50 per class
• 4 Class Pass: $180 ($45 per class). Must be used within 90 days of purchase.
• 8 Class Pass: $320 ($40 per class). Must be used within 120 days of purchase.

We provide all supplies, so you can show up and paint. 

No experience required. Come ready to learn, experiment and create alongside others in the studio.
