Holiday Stamp Carving Workshop
Get creative this holiday season and make your own hand-carved stamps for wrapping paper, gift tags, cards and more!
In this 2-hour, beginner-friendly workshop on Sunday, December 6th at 2 pm, Monika will guide you through the basics of designing and carving your own rubber stamps with a festive holiday theme. You'll learn how to transfer a design onto carving rubber, safely use carving tools, and turn your ideas into a finished stamp you can use again and again.
You'll create your own holiday-inspired designs, whether you're dreaming of cute little icons, traditional Christmas motifs, or something completely unique. Once your stamps are carved, you can use them to create your own wrapping paper and gift tags, or take them home and keep stamping throughout the holiday season.
No previous experience is needed! This class is designed for beginners, but all skill levels are welcome. Monika will be there throughout the workshop to demonstrate techniques, answer questions and help you bring your ideas to life.
You'll leave with:
- Your own hand-carved holiday stamps
- A storage box for your designs
- Gift tags and greeting cards ready to use
- Hands-on experience with stamp carving tools and techniques
- Ideas and inspiration for creating custom wrapping paper and gift tags
- The skills to keep carving your own stamps at home
Come make something personal, useful and a little bit magical for the holidays!
Meet Your Instructor
I'm Monika, the artist and founder behind Salt & Paper, a Canadian stationery and gift company specializing in hand-carved rubber stamps. I've been designing and carving stamps for years, turning everything from illustrations and lettering to portraits and playful little characters into stamps you can use again and again.
What started as a creative side project grew into a full-time business, and today I carve custom stamps for individuals, businesses and brands, alongside my own collection of colourful stationery and gifts. My work has been featured by clients and publications including the BBC, Crocs, Pinterest and CityLine.
I love the combination of illustration and carving because it takes a drawing off the page and turns it into something you can actually use. In my workshops, I want to make that process feel approachable and fun, even if you've never picked up a carving tool before.
Whether you're completely new to stamp carving or already have some experience, I'll walk you through the techniques I use in my own studio and help you create stamps that are uniquely yours.
